Well, some federation bugs hit at the same time that identi.ca came to the pumpiverse but...
I have been wondering where people are as well when looking at the firehose feed. 20,000+ accounts were added when identi.ca came to the pumpiverse, but, where are they? Are they all posting privately? Or, is it that no one is posting at all?
It really makes me nervous seeing the pumpiverse getting ready to push past 30,000 accounts and only a handful (ok, a couple of handfuls) of people show up in the firehose feed... With nearly 70 pumps showing on pumplive (which, unless I'm mistaken, gets it's numbers concerning actual pumps, off the firehose), I'd expect the firehose feed to be much, much busier...

i'm stuck on 'recover your password'. i only get a cycling Recover-button. both on firefox 23.0 and iphone's safari.
[and for the first time in years i started the internet exploder (7.0.x) which doesn't seem to cope with the recover-page at all ...]

FYI: every five minutes or less you get a new registration or a spam-edit on status.net/wiki - don't know what that means for your server costs, but i know that it's inefficient for habi and me to maintain <hint> ;)

if you want to find new people, do it like we have done it on every new social network before: follow friends, friends of your friends and suggest friends to others.
ATM you'll find a changing list of people at https://static.jpope.org/users.html and fresh stats at http://pumplive.com/.
pump.io is federated and runs on different servers [13 ATM]. to subscribe people on an other server, you have to click on "account on another server?" first.
if you discover any issues, please add them to https://github.com/e14n/pump.io/issues.

And that list that I compile is in no way complete, it is only those users known to the pump.jpope.org instance. We need a crawler that hits each instances /api/users feed and grabs the complete list from there. ;)
you're right, but it's a start. people are moaning that they are not finding anybody to start with. identica's @welcomebot and autosubscription to @identica was a central point to find others. interesting reads on this networking effect: http://techcrunch.com/2011/07/09/scoble-problem-social-networks/ & http://lumma.de/2011/07/09/scoble-und-kosmar-sind-tom-2-0/ [german].
JPOPE: I think that'd be great. It could also use ofirehose.com and add people when they post something new. -

oh, has it been there before? i just detected it today. maybe i didn't wait long enough at the bottom of the page before. or i'm just too used to identi.ca's pages.
okay, there's another reason and with that a problem: normally i'm on firefox nightly 22.0a1 -> no infinite scroll. yesterday i was on firefox 20 -> infinite scroll.
safari on ipad -> no infinite scroll. -
